Honest scope — text extraction, not vision
OCR reads text, not charts
Photos and screenshots go through OCR — the printed or handwritten text is extracted and handed to the model. It is not a vision model reading a chart's shape or a diagram's layout; for that kind of visual reasoning, don't expect more than a text-based answer about what's written.
PDFs go through Summary, not raw chat
A full PDF (up to 50 pages) is summarized into a structured brief first — it isn't a page-by-page chat-with-citations flow. For a single screenshot's worth of text, OCR-into-chat is faster; for a whole document, Summary is the right tool.
We don't match Lumo's encryption framing
