Image to prompt

Describe an image as a reusable AI prompt.

Use Describe on the current image in PortraitBot to get a text prompt you can copy, adapt, and generate from again.

Image to Prompt is the PortraitBot Describe action. It reads the current working image and returns a reusable text description; it does not silently generate a replacement image.

What costs balance

This page and the handoff are free to browse. Describe uses Portrait USD Balance only after the prompt text is successfully delivered. A Portrait Pass is not required.

Open Image to Prompt

Process

How Describe works

  1. 01

    Open the targeted PortraitBot handoff.

  2. 02

Use an existing delivered image, or send a fresh photo through the image intake.

  3. 03

Open Tools, choose Describe, and confirm the image you want described.

  4. 04

Copy the delivered prompt and edit details such as subject, light, lens, palette, or composition.

Useful output

  • A reusable text prompt
  • Visible subject and scene details
  • Lighting and composition cues
  • A starting point you can edit before generation

Keep in mind

  • It describes the current working image, not an entire album
  • The description is an interpretation, not hidden original metadata
  • A fresh Web handoff may first open photo intake before Tools → Describe
  • The source must pass the bot's normal image checks

Examples

Ways to reuse the prompt

Keep the composition

Preserve the framing while changing the season, wardrobe, or palette.

Extract the visual language

Reuse lighting, texture, and camera cues with a different fictional subject.

Make a safer variant

Remove brand names, readable text, or identity-specific details before generating.
