Each delivered scan keeps merchant, date, total, currency, category and item count. /ask reads only the current UTC month's records and runs a deterministic calculation. It does not inspect the original photo again, convert currencies, forecast spending or give financial advice.

If retained history may be incomplete, the answer carries the same visible truncation note as /month and /export.

What can I ask?

Use /ask for the current month's total, receipt count, one supported category, or top merchants. Send /ask without a question to see examples in English or Russian.

Does /ask use an AI model to answer?

No. The question is matched to a small supported intent set, then the answer is calculated from the compact receipt records already saved for /month and /export. Unsupported questions are declined instead of improvised.

Does it convert currencies?

No. Totals stay separated by the currency detected on each receipt. This avoids hiding an unverified exchange rate inside one blended number.

What period does it cover?

The current UTC calendar month only. Custom date ranges and previous-month queries are not available in this version.

Is this accounting or tax advice?

No. Receipt values are AI extractions from photos and important amounts should be checked. /ask summarizes those saved values; it does not certify them or provide financial, accounting or tax advice.
